Working While White in Collaborative Practice: Reflections on Racism

In preparation for our meeting, we are asking everyone to please answer the following question and be prepared to share a very short response to begin our discussion:

"When you were growing up, what do you recall being told about race?"

The number of tragic killings of black men and women at the hands of police and others has evoked private despair and public protest. What does this mean to us as collaborative professionals in a largely white organization? What is the context that informs this reality and how do we feel about who has access to us, both as colleagues and as clients?

Two family specialists will share some of their reflections and experiences and then open the session to group discussion.

When:      Every other Tuesday at 8:30am - 9:30am until further notice

The NYACP will present webinars every other Tuesday, from 8:30-9:30am, hosted by the NYC Pod, to provide a gathering place to share information, ask questions, and offer support for our community of friends and colleagues (every other Tuesday: 3/31, 4/14, 4/28, 5/12, 5/26, 6/9, 6/23 ...).  

Once you complete your registration, you will recieve the log-in information, link and phone numbers in your confirmation email.  Just click on the link or dial in at the time of the meetings.  There's no password.  This is a recurring meeting, so the same link should work for subsequent webinars.
